Computer Engineering & IT master programs by Canadian Institute of Technology: CIT’s premises consist of an auditorium, various lecturing halls/classrooms; 6 labs (4 computer labs; 1 Physics and 1 Chemistry lab); study rooms; offices for both academic and administrative staff; a parking area and a cafeteria. Classrooms are equipped with state-of-the-art professional electronic equipment such as laboratory computers, overhead projectors, etc. Our library can fulfill a capacity of 30 students, contains 6 computers and over 5000 English titles. Bekim Fetaji is Full Professor of Computer Sciences since 2016. He served as the Vice President of Macedonian Board of Accreditation of Higher Education in Macedonia 2015-2017. Received his PhD in Computer Sciences at Graz University of Technology, Austria, his MsC from Oxford Brookes University, Oxford, England. He served as Visiting Professor in different Universities among others in Staffordshire University UK, Tokyo University of Agriculture and Engineering, Japan, UPT, etc. Published more than 140 scientific papers in international conferences, most of them in IEEE and ACM and more than 30 international journals, some of them with ISI Web of Science impact factor. Main research interest are in virtual learning environments, software engineering, data science with machine learning, and closely related fields.
Shkelzen Cakaj has received his BSc and MSc degrees from Pristina University in Kosovo. He has prepared his Master Thesis at Vienna Technical University. He was awarded a PhD in the area of satellite communications from Zagreb University, in January 2008. Later on, in 2009, as Fulbright scholar, he continued his postdoctoral research at NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) at Maryland, USA. He is the author of 66 papers published in worldwide conferences and journals; mostly IEEE. He also engaged as a reviewer for IEEE Communication Magazine, etc. His area of interest is the satellite ground station performance. In 2016 he was awarded as “Albanian ICT Researcher of the Year 2015”. He is promoted as Associate Professor, from Polytechnic University of Tirana.
Reis Mulita, holds a PhD/Doctor of Research from University of Trieste, Italy, a MSc in European Studies from University of Tirana as well as a Master of Second Level in History and Geography from “E.Cabej” University. Prof. Mulita study and research activity is focused on Sustainable Development, Business Ethics, Circular Economy, Technology and Society. He is author of Sustainable Development courses in Bachelor and MSc. Prof. Mulita is member of experts group of the innovative courses on “Open Innovation” and “Circular Economy, under Long Life Learning and Erasmus+ EU programs. He is awarded with Doctoral scholarship from Italian Ministry of F.Affairs, the USAID-NDI Political Management Program and the Brain Gain program, of UNDP. Prof. Mulita, has backgrounds across Ministries of Transport- Public Works, Telecommunication, Labour-Social Affairs and Migration.
Sokol Abazi graduated as Industrial Chemist in Albania, Tirana University in 1989. In 1997 he obtained his PhD from Fribourg University (Switzerland) in organic synthesis using radical chemistry. After a Postdoc in Total Synthesis of Natural Products at Oxford University in 1998, he worked for a couple of companies in the UK and Switzerland and then returned to Albania working as a Professor at Tirana University. Since 2015 he is a Full Professor at CIT, from 2020 he holds the Rector position. His research interests are mainly focused on natural products, organic synthesis, and supercritical fluid extraction (SFE). In the last decade, he has been working on the use of a modified “soxhlet-like” extraction technique using sub-critical CO2. Shefqet Meda graduated as an electronic engineer who has gained extensive experience and expertise in the IT and telecommunications industry. He served as the Technical Director at the Electronic Communications Authority in Albania for 10 years and was also the Director of IT Systems at Albanian Power Corporation. Meda has worked as a Database Administrator at SIIA and served as the Scientific Technical Director for NIS. He holds several certifications from various reputable organizations such as Harvard University, UN/International Telecommunication Union, and Microsoft Academy, among others. Meda has contributed to various peer-reviewed journals, co-authored publications, and supervised numerous diploma theses in the field of security, artificial intelligence, IoT, networks, and telecom. He is a member of the Noncommercial Stakeholder Group of ICANN and also serves as a board member of the Albanian Institute of Broadcast Engineers.
Denis Xheleku holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Software Engineering from the Canadian Institute of Technology. Currently, he serves as a lecturer at the Faculty of Engineering within the same institution, where he imparts his extensive knowledge and expertise to aspiring engineers, as well as the director of the IT department. His research interests span a wide spectrum, encompassing subjects such as web design, networking, Android and iOS applications, as well as Linux.
