Visit Turkey – a comprehensive list of reasons

Complete list of reasons to explore Turkey 2025: Topkapi Palace – Highlights: Soak up the Ottoman finery amid the salons of the sultans Sumptuous beyond belief, Istanbul’s Topkapi Palace takes you into the fantastical, opulent world of the Sultans. It was from here, during the 15th and 16th centuries, that the sultans of the Ottoman era carved out an empire that would extend up into Europe and down through the Middle East and into Africa. The interiors, with their decadently exuberant tiling and lavish jeweled decor, are an unforgettable peek into the Ottoman’s power base. In particular, don’t miss the Imperial Council building, where the empire’s business was conducted by the Grand Vizier; the arms collection displayed in the Imperial Treasury; the world-class collection of miniature paintings; and the dazzling Harem rooms, which were designed by the famed Ottoman architect Sinan. The surrounding public gardens were once the sole domain of the Royal Court but are now open to the public and provide a tranquil, green respite from the city streets. Improve Your Language Skills – Learning a new language is another massive benefit of studying abroad. This can be difficult for most people, but there is nothing better than keeping your brain sharp and active by learning a new language. France, Germany, Switzerland, and other countries have some of the best universities in the world. Studying abroad allows you to completely immerse yourself in a new language, and there is no better way to learn than to dive right in. You can push yourself even further by learning a new language while visiting another country. In addition to the extensive language practice you will get in everyday life, your host university will most likely offer language courses to provide you with a more formal education. Immerse yourself in a new culture and go beyond a purely academic experience.

You interact with different people. This is probably my favorite reason to travel abroad. I truly believe that one has so much to learn from people belonging to different nationalities, cultures and religions, and nothing compares to the feeling of establishing friendships across borders.Furthermore, it is wonderful to travel to a certain country and already know someone there who you can visit and who can show you around like a local. You can practice or learn a new language. As a student of languages myself, I am of the opinion that the best method to learn a new language or to speak it authentically is to live among native speakers and use that language on a regular basis. You know what they say about languages – use it or lose it. There is no point whatsoever in studying a language for years without ever using it in real life. Turkey tourism is one of the top reasons to invest in Turkey. With the majority of tourist attractions located on the European side, most first-time travelers to Istanbul don’t venture into the Asian side of the city. Had it not been for Ciya Sofrasi and Walter’s Coffee Roastery, then we wouldn’t have gone there either. Home to a maze of cafes, bars, restaurants, and some trendy neighborhoods, the Asian side has much to offer and is well worth a day if you can spare it. We traveled around Turkey for two weeks so we went to these places on our own, but if you don’t have as much time, then you can visit them on day trips from Istanbul as well. Domestic flights are inexpensive and efficient in Turkey, making these day trips to other regions highly possible.
